Paper Shapes

These drawings (paper shapes) were created in tandem with an array and range of other works during a residency and fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center in 2007.

I have used these paper figures in different ways over the years. They speak of something old and yet universal…especially when paired with words reflecting basic humanistic values and struggles. Perhaps to be revisited (with different figurative forms as well) at some future point .
